Brian Melick: uduboy music

I had the incredible opportunity to journey to a continent that I dreamed of visiting and performing for since I was 12 years old and heard Babatunde Olatunji's Iconic recording “Drums of Passion” for the first time.  In August 2024 from the 11th to the 20th I was fully emersed in visiting Ghana West Africa, as well as given the extreme honor of performing with Heard: NEW World Music group in two concerts at prestigious venues; The National Theater of Ghana as Special Guests of the Pan African Youth Orchestra and the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill.

I wanted to repost here, within my website, the sequence of journaled posts including Photos and Video that I posted / shared via Facebook as it was unfolding.  I was very taken by the beautiful and heartfelt responses I received by visitors to my post.  Really was quite moved by everyone letting me know how much they enjoyed the audio and video as well as my words and how they truly felt they were with me every step of the way.  I hope you will enjoy my reposting of my journal.  What you will find below is Each Day has it's own link with accompanying  Photos, Video and in some cases Music.  When you reach the end of each days post, please simply hit your back button to return to this page to select another day to enjoy.  To this end my hope is that it makes the events clear concise and you can feel as I did experiencing this cultural exchange.  My wish is that given the chance you will also want to visit and experience this amazing, inspired, culturally diverse country.  Can not wait to return.
